Avengers Games

The Avengers film was amazing, and Avengers: Battle for Earth has been announced! Check out our new preview of Ubisoft’s official game! In the meantime while we wait for more information on this game, there are plenty of good games to try if you want to try your hand at playing a Superhero. We will continue to review Avengers Games. Here is an overview of the current Avenger Games available on offer and for what platforms.

This is a third-person action game based on the film Thor. It follows the events of Thor engaged against his brother Loki, and features Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Jaimie Alexander reprising their characters. You play as Thor, brawling your way through different planets in order to restore your homeland. The Wii title differs slightly from the other versions, using the Wii Remote for attacks such as hammer swings. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions can also display 3D gameplay if using the appropriate television set. Being able to control the power of a God makes Thor: God of Thunder's gameplay amazingly fun to take part in.

Loosely based on the film, Captain America: Super Soldier is a third-person adventure game where players have to fight and survive against the forces of HYDRA. Featuring the voice of Chris Evans reprising his role, Super Soldier pits players against the army of Red Skull. The acrobatic fighting allows for a free-flowing combo system, letting you feel the agility of Captain America in combat. There are puzzles to solve, which include using Captain America's heightened dexterity to scale walls and explore. The Wii version is especially fun to play, thanks to the Wii Remote recreating the feeling of throwing Captain America's famous shield.

If free-roaming a city as an ultimate beast of destruction sounds appealing, The Incredible Hulk allows just that very thing with players taking control of the Big Green Machine. Similar to the gameplay of the previous title Ultimate Destruction, you have the freedom to cause total mayhem in New York, while fighting iconic foes like Abomination and The Enclave. Based on the film, Edward Norton joins the voice cast including Tim Roth, Liv Tyler and William Hurt. Leaping from building, or tossing tanks into the air are just a few things players can look forward to in

War Machine and Iron Mean team up in this title based on the film with the same name. Both Superheroes offer players different gameplay options, allowing multiple play styles. Many improvements have been made in
Iron Man 2 from the original title, especially with the flight controls and enemy artificial intelligence. There are many different weapons available – Iron Man preferring energy-based weaponry, while War Machine heavy ballistic cannons and missiles. Suits of armour are unlocked as you play, and trophies can be achieved as an incentive to those who master the game.
